One very
useful thing on the way to happiness is keeping
in good condition with physical exercise. It has been proved that physical
exercise generate endorphin which make us feel good. And also when you are in
good condition you will not become tired so easy and if you are not tired you
feel good and you can do things important to you and your happiness. I
underline this and ask you to start physical exercise if you don’t have started
it already. And if you have started it already, I ask you to continue. It is
one of the most incredible feeling when you are already in good condition, you
keep in exercise and will have better and better condition. Believe me, it is
one of most forceful factor to achieve happiness.
If you
already exercise and you are motivated to do it, this thing is all right with
you, keep going! I give some advices them who has not started yet. First there
is no meaning what is your condition now. The inferior your condition is the
more funny it will be, because your progress will be huge. First, you must find
sport you like most to do. This is very important. We must enjoy to exercise
and it would be very hard if you don’t like the sport you exercise. And if you
have some health reason you can’t for example to run, you must choose something
else. So, choose the sport you can do and you most like.
Second and
also very important thing is that you must not start to exercise too much! It
is very common mistake that we have enthusiasm early and start to exercise for
example four or five times in the week and half or even one hour in a day. Then
we exercise two or three weeks and after that it will be end. We will get tired
of exercise and stop it. There were not any use training like that. I have trained
even twenty hours in a week and I have enjoyed it. I have also got tired of training
and stopped after three weeks (many years ago I started and stopped, started
and stopped). Now I know how it will be possible to train much, enjoy it and
don’t like to stop it. This has worked for me and a lot of my friends who I am
coaching. This has worked with my friends who have tried earlier many times to
start training, but always failed. Now they have trained months and years, they
feel good and enjoy exercise and have better and better condition.
The idea is
not to start with too much training. This require will power. You start with
very little amounts. You start exercise only 10 – 15 minutes in a day and four
times in a week. The secret is that it is easy to do that and so you'll succeed.
And when you'll succeed, you'll feel like a winner. You must be disciplined because it
is not allowed to do more, only 10 – 15 minutes per day and four times per week.
You will continue at least a month like that. After a month you have won all
those starters who has stopped after two or three weeks. And what’s better, you
are still motivated to continue. After a month you have also some kind of
routine to exercise and if you have routine it will be easy to continue. After
a month you will raise time in your exercise but not too much. You start to
train 20 minutes in a day and four times in a week. After a month doing like
that, you start to train 15 – 30 minutes per day, four times per week, in the
way you will chance the time. Sometimes you train only 15 minutes and sometimes
30 minutes. Keep going like this, train more and more, but remember that there
is no meaning to train more than your goal requires. If your goal is only
feeling good and have health, it will be enough to train four times in a week
and that 30 minutes per day. And if you like to run marathon you must train
more and more.
This system
is based on that human being adapts to current circumstances. If we would work four
hours in a day and our boss would say in some day that today we will work six
hours it would sound very bad for us. But now when we work maybe eight hours in
a day six hours would sound very easy and nice. I have increased my training
time with so little steps that for example running one and half hour is piece
of cake for me mentally and physically because I am adapted to train even much
more.
